Pure Stoneware, Pure Intention

Every piece begins with clay and a feeling. I shape each notepaper dish, mug, magnet, or coaster by hand, infusing it with a bit of humor, honesty, and heart. Simple forms, personal messages, and a whole lot of soul.

The Art of Storytelling in Clay

Hi, I’m Dorel, ceramic artist, note collector, and lover of little moments that matter.

I work with warm, natural stoneware to create pieces that blend form, function, and feeling. My notepaper dishes, mugs, magnets, and coasters are inspired by the everyday notes we leave for ourselves or each other; honest, funny, loving, or just real. Each one begins as a slab of clay, shaped by hand and etched with lines and handwritten words that make the piece truly personal.

Personalization is at the heart of what I do. Whether it's a cheeky reminder, a love note, or a message that keeps you grounded, your words become part of the piece.

And yes, they’re made to be used. Every item is food safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe.

The personalization process adds another layer of meaning - your words become part of the piece, making each item truly unique and personal.

My Process

Each piece starts with rolling out a fresh slab of clay. I cut it into familiar, torn-page shapes and draw in the iconic lines by hand, punching small “binder holes” for that perfect notepaper feel. I paint the blue and red lines using underglaze, then bisque fire the piece to set the form.

After the first firing, I handwrite each note, yours or mine, directly onto the ceramic surface. Then comes a coat of clear, glossy glaze and a second firing that brings the whole story to life.

What comes out of the kiln is more than just pottery; it’s a little message, made to last.

Shaping each piece with intention and care

A Personal Touch

When you choose to personalize a piece, you're not just adding text - you're creating a connection. Whether it's a daily reminder, a gift for someone special, or words that inspire you, your message becomes part of the ceramic's story, fired into the piece forever.
